Programs
Beluga’s 2/3s Class
Our 2-3 year old class begins building the foundation for early reading and writing utilizing the tools provided by Maria Montessori’s methodology combined with outdoor play. There is a strong focus on fine and gross motor skills and language/mathematics materials while also exploring some sciences.
Orca’s Toddler Class
Our youngest 2 year old students are first introduced to the Montessori Materials- building the pink tower, exploring sandpaper letters- all while fine tuning their motor skills and exploring the world around them. They begin initial stages of potty training and are exposed to plenty of outdoor/indoor play.
Narwhals 3s Class
Our 3-3.5 year old class continues building on earlier learning, working more in depth in reading and writing. Additionally, it expands upon the child’s connection to the greater universe by incorporating the sciences and map study. There is a continued focus on fine and gross motor skills as well as more advanced mathematics with addition and subtraction.
Humpbacks’s PreK/Kindergarten
& After Care
Our 3.5-5 year old class explores advanced language concepts such as sentence structure and parts of speech. In math we introduce multiplication/division as well as decimal placement. There is an active focus on reading and writing as well as continuing to grow our practical life skills.
For those who wish to join us for a half day, we will continue the Montessori lessons into the second half of the day offering after school for children at PS196 in our Humpback & Beluga classes.
